Cuttable Speed Dating

Hey y'all, Eli here.
Rich and I have been doing a lot of thinking about how to make this community as strong as it can be, and bring as much value to as many people as possible. One product of these conversations has been the monthly virtual hang-outs over Zoom that have brought dozens of artists, songwriters, producers, and otherwise industry people together for a few hours to chat music, life, and all things Cuttable. These have been a huge success from our point of view, and we hope you've found value in them as well. We really enjoy answering your questions, addressing concerns, and bringing your feedback into our meetings to brainstorm some new ideas.
One thing that comes up again and again in these sessions, from the newbies and veterans alike is, "I'd like to find new co-writers". Enter Cuttable Speed Dating. This month (and every month, if this works the way we hope it will), we are going to start our monthly hang-out session as normal, then set everyone into randomly assigned breakout rooms in Zoom of 3-4 people for 20 minutes at a time, then close them up and do it all again.
We hope this will give everyone some face time with a bunch of new people you wouldn't have otherwise met. You can chat music if you like, share news about upcoming shows or releases, go around the room and discuss your goals. Basically it'll be no agenda, your time to do as you please. Feel free to swap contact information, set up co-writing dates on the spot or in the future, or set up like actual dates, we don't mind. We heard Dave Borys is single and ready to mingle.
The first of these Speed Dating sessions will be on Thursday, May 13th at 8PM Eastern.
Cuttable is growing in numbers as we expand our network outwards. Our focus currently is in expansion, especially into some areas of the country we aren't as familiar with. If you want to invite a friend or two to join, we'd love to have them. If you just want to bring yourself and a six-pack, we're happy with that too. Keep an eye on your email and our Instagram for the Zoom link. See you then!
